What is Shujooon?

Shujooon is a community run magazine for writing, art and photography from the Middle East. It is a place to express freely your own Shujooon .

What are my Shujooon ?

Shujooon [plural] is the Arabic word for the entangled branches of thought. Your Shujooon are your winding reflections that loop in and around each other. They are your interwoven memories and the emotions they envoke; however contradictory they may be. It is a word that attempts to encapsulate the complex process by which our thoughts fractalize and crystallize.

Shujooon is a community effort. We welcome submissions of any kind, whether it's prose or poetry, a logo idea or coding skills, or if you want a section to show off your paintings.

The idea of Shujooon is to allow individualism to thrive by operating as a collaborative collective. In a world led by AI slop and alogorithms dictating what media you are fed, we politely beg you to take matters into your own hands. Produce your own media and liberate your mind.
